Abstract Macroscopic elastic core-shell systems can be generated as toy models to deformed and haptically studied by hand. On the mesoscale, colloidal particles microgels are fabricated investigated different types of microscopy. We analyse, using linear elasticity theory, response spherical under influence a line density force that is oriented radially acts along equator outer surface.
